Self-Dispatch Loads from the Truckpedia Driver App
Truckpedia now allows drivers to self-dispatch loads directly from the Driver App — no need to wait on dispatchers. This is perfect for owner-operators, team drivers, or any scenario where the dispatcher is unavailable. Of course, dispatchers can still assign loads on the backend too. Here’s how it works:

How to Self-Dispatch a Load in the App
- Open the Truckpedia Driver App
- Tap the blue “+” button at the bottom right
- A screen will appear labeled “Add New Load”
You have two options:
- Manually enter the load details
- Or upload a Rate Con PDF
- You can either scan the document or upload it from your gallery
What Happens Next
Once the rate con is uploaded:
- Truckpedia will automatically extract key info:
- Shipper and receiver details
- Dates, addresses, and Time
- Shipper and receiver details
You can also add a terminal stop by tapping “Add Terminal” at the top and entering the terminal details.
Final Step: Submit the Load
After submitting, you’ll see a confirmation message:
“New load has been assigned to you”
The load will immediately appear in your:
- In Progress section in the app
- TMS (Truckpedia platform) for the dispatch team to view
This gives drivers the flexibility to take control of their schedule while keeping dispatchers in the loop through automatic sync.
