Self-Dispatch Loads from the Truckpedia Driver App

Truckpedia now allows drivers to self-dispatch loads directly from the Driver App — no need to wait on dispatchers. This is perfect for owner-operators, team drivers, or any scenario where the dispatcher is unavailable. Of course, dispatchers can still assign loads on the backend too. Here’s how it works:

How to Self-Dispatch a Load in the App

  1. Open the Truckpedia Driver App

  2. Tap the blue “+” button at the bottom right

  3. A screen will appear labeled “Add New Load”

You have two options:

  • Manually enter the load details

  • Or upload a Rate Con PDF

    • You can either scan the document or upload it from your gallery

What Happens Next

Once the rate con is uploaded:

  • Truckpedia will automatically extract key info:

    • Shipper and receiver details

    • Dates, addresses, and Time

You can also add a terminal stop by tapping “Add Terminal” at the top and entering the terminal details.

Final Step: Submit the Load

After submitting, you’ll see a confirmation message:

“New load has been assigned to you”

The load will immediately appear in your:

  • In Progress section in the app

  • TMS (Truckpedia platform) for the dispatch team to view

This gives drivers the flexibility to take control of their schedule while keeping dispatchers in the loop through automatic sync.
