Step-by-step video on adding assets
Adding a Driver
To add a new driver, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Dispatch Module and select the Drivers section.
- Click Add Driver to open the driver input form.
- Enter the driver’s unique email address (this can be a personal or business email, but it must be unique to the driver).
- Create a password for the driver. You can use any password, but it's helpful to use a consistent naming convention for easy tracking.
- These will be their login credentials for the Truckpedia Driver’s App.
- Once you've entered the details, click Save.
Additional steps:
- Fill in additional details like the driver’s phone number, contractor or employee status, and compliance details (e.g., expiration dates for licenses).
- Ensure the driver enables location sharing on the Truckpedia App. This is crucial for real-time tracking.
- Assign a truck to the driver using the Driver Assistant section. You can assign it as current or temporary by adding a start and end date.
- Upload any required documents (e.g., driver’s license, CDL, medical card) under the Files tab.
- Click Save after making any updates to ensure all information is stored correctly.
Adding a Truck
- Navigate to the Assets section and select Trucks.
