The Dispatch module in Truckpedia helps you efficiently manage and track loads, assign drivers, and handle shipment logistics. This guide covers the core features, including creating new loads, using filters, and customizing your views.
Watch this video for step-by-step walkthrough of the Dispatch module.
1. Navigating the Dispatch Module
When you first enter the Dispatch module, you have two main views: Pipeline View and List View.
- Pipeline View: A visual way to see loads with their statuses (Open, Dispatched, In Transit, Delivered, Payment Status). This view helps you quickly track the progress of your loads.
List View
A more detailed, list-based layout, useful for managing a large number of loads. You can filter by load number, pickup date, delivery date, or status.
Calendar View
Helps you visually manage and assign loads to drivers based on the scheduled day:
- Assign loads: Drag and drop loads to specific days and drivers.
- Filter by conditions: Filter by inbound/outbound, pickup/delivery dates, and more.
Spreadsheet View
The Spreadsheet View provides a spreadsheet-like interface for managing your loads:
- Custom Fields: Add fields like dispatcher, shipper, and receiver.
- Filter and Sort: Organize loads based on various criteria.
- Collaborative Sharing: Click "Share" to give team members access to your sheet.
2. Filtering Pipeline View
- Click the three dots in the top-right corner of the page.
- Toggle the display options on or off as needed.
3. Creating a New Load
To create a new load:
- Click the New Load button.
- Fill out the required information across 4 steps:
- Step 1: Load information
- Step 2: Shipper, leg, and receiver details
- Step 3: Accounting and load charges
- Step 4: Assign driver and equipment
- After filling in the details, you can submit to create the load.
- Auto-Fill Load Information
Save time by dragging and dropping a rate confirmation or tender document to auto-fill load details. This feature is about 95% accurate, so be sure to double-check the information.
- Managing Loads
Once a load is created, it will be marked as Open. To dispatch the load:
- Add the driver, truck, and trailer details.
- Click Submit to automatically change the load status to Dispatched.
The Dispatch module in Truckpedia lets you manage loads your way. Use Pipeline View for tracking, List View for details, and Smart Sheet View for organizing data. Try filters, auto-fill, and the smart sheet to streamline your dispatching.
