Instructions for integrating your WEX factoring account with our TMS. It covers the process of setting up your account, configuring required settings, and ensuring compliance with WEX's unique load reference requirements.
Step 1: Gather Required Information from WEX
Before starting, collect the following details from WEX:
- WEX Username and Password
- Unique Reference Numbers for Each Load
Step 2: Set Up WEX in the TMS
Enable WEX Factoring:
- Go to Settings > Factoring Company in your TMS.
- Select WEX as your provider and confirm the selection.
Enter WEX Credentials:
- Input your WEX username and password in the designated fields.
- Save the configuration.
- A green check mark under status indicates the connection was successful.
Enable the Reference Field:
- Ensure the Internal Reference Field is visible in your Load Details.
- If the field is not visible:
- Contact support at help@truckpedia.io to enable it.
Add Factoring Company Details:
- Once WEX is connected, go to Settings > Factoring Company Details.
- Enter the necessary WEX factoring company details, such as contact information, payment terms, or other required specifics.
- Submit your changes to complete the setup.
Step 3: Input WEX Reference Numbers
For every load:
- Obtain the WEX-provided reference number.
- Enter the reference number into the Internal Reference Field (or the dedicated factoring field) for the corresponding load.
- Important: Each load requires its own unique reference number from WEX.
Step 4: Test and Verify
- Test the Setup: Attempt to request payment for a load without entering the reference number.
- If the system throws an error requiring the reference number, the setup is correct.
- Verify Payment Processing: Input the WEX reference number and try again. The payment request should now process successfully.
Key Reminders
- Each load must have a unique reference number from WEX. Obtain these for every load before requesting payment.
- If you cannot see the reference field or encounter issues entering the number, contact support for assistance.
