What’s New

You can now select Freight Weight as a variable when setting up rate sheets and define pricing based on weight ranges.

For example:

  • 0–500 lbs → $0.10 per lb
  • 501–1,000 lbs → $0.30 per lb

The system will automatically apply the correct rate based on the total weight of the load.

1. Set Up a Rate Sheet

Go to:
Accounting → Customer Rate Sheets

  • Create or open a rate sheet
  • Click Add New Item
  • Select:
    • Account Item: Hauling Fee
    • Mode: By Variable
    • Variable: Freight Weight
    • Rates Application: Rule-based Rates

Then define your weight ranges and rates.

2. Build Your Load

  • Create a load under Dispatch
  • Add your commodities and weight
  • The system will total the freight weight

3. Apply the Rate Sheet

After entering weight:

  • Go to Step 3: Load Charge
  • Select your Customer Rate Sheet

The system will:

  • read the total weight
  • match it to the correct range
  • calculate the charge automatically

⚠️ Important

Apply the rate sheet after entering freight weight.

If selected before adding commodities, the calculation may not apply correctly.
